This is the last machine left that I saved from my uncle's collection. A few of you on here have bought some of my other machines.

This one works. Just needs a little cleaning up here and there.

Let me know if you would like more pictures or pictures of something specific.

Make me an offer if interested.

314-680-8979 or chrisblues12@hotmail.com

I am near St. Louis or pickup will need to be arranged by you.

Bumping this post in case anyone is interested still.

I am going to put it on eBay but if someone would like to buy it off-site, please feel free to contact me.

I have a video of it working if interested.

Washer Dryer Combo?

Is that correct? I've always loved those. What year was this one made?

This one isn’t a combo, just one of the earliest automatic washers.

I saw the dry option and assumed it was a dryer as well.

If anyone can provide more details on this one I'd appreciate it.

Dry on the control panel = spin dry

if I'm not mistaken, this washer has an "impressive" (for that time) 300 RPM spin.

The clothes don't come out dripping, but....

But just only

Best wringers on washers or whatever gave results equal to about 250rpm spin speed in terms of extraction. So while the spin drying on those Westinghouse washers was indeed easier (on both the wash and Madame's energy), you still pretty much had sodden wet laundry. More so giving the nature of heavy textiles often in use then.

As we often discuss, the above was reason why early clothes dryers had such high temperatures. They needed that heat to bake out all that remaining moisture. *LOL*

250-300 rpm spin

With these speeds, the housewives must have been truly elated when the spin dryer finally hit the market.
