Hi washer friends, Its me Bill the drycleaner. I was looking through the threads and found a curious kenmore wringer washer that looks interesting. It is in post #984785 it is a kenmore wringer washer in an ad for an automatic washer. It looks a lot like a whirlpool surgomatic and yes I know the two were the same basic machine, I would like to know what year it was from and what model it was, was it an early visi-matic? please let me know. thanks Bill

Since Whirlpool was a dominate supplier of washing machines

For Sears going back ages, you might want to search for a comparable model from Whirlpool or RCA/Whirlpool.

In any event we know Kenmore is just a brand and that Sears always sourced machines elsewhere. So again look for something similar from any of the major players and that likely will lead to answers.

Obviously, models only available in Canada. My mother had a similar looking Kenmore washer with no back guard. Never saw a Kenmore wringer like that until the Visi-Matic full skirt came out.

Most certian it is a Whirlpool

As the chrome control knob/bezel looks exactly like those found on Surgomatic wringer washers.
