The seller mentioned "combo" but this is just a washer; where would "combo" apply here?
The link provided shows it's discontinued: www.ajmadison.com/cgi-bin... CLICK HERE TO GO TO ovrphil's LINK on Charlottesville Craigslist |

Yeah, if you can't watch the laundry channel, you're missing a lot because the audio is not so much. |

I so agree - I love windowed washers and dryers. When our white Manx used to hear our Frigidaire's start up, she would sit down and watch (both were windowed)the entire wash and dry process. I think of that little precious fur ball now and windowed washers and dryers have become more attractive , just thinking of her there.
Photo of her acting happy....couldn't quickly bring up the Frigidaire pair we loved.

.
I just sold this miele dryer for...drum roll....$40! I think it probably paired with the above washer. Vented, electric, and worked, I just don't have the room right now and dryers are not in demand here.

Besides the voltage requirement they are just seen as too "small" by many Americans.
Providing one has the space you can get a full sized American dry that runs on same 220v power for far less money. Then you had the fact not many liked condenser dryers, which is all Miele sells now in USA for several years having discontinued vented versions. Arrival of the 3XXX series and their 120v voltage as stolen much of the thunder (and there wasn't much)for older Miele washers that need 120v/220v connections. We can debate the build and whatever quality of new machines versus old until cows come home; but the overwhelming reason for poor Miele washer sales in past was their electrical requirements. One suspects far more 19XX and 12XX series washers would have been "saved" if they could be run on 120v or even straight 220v by using a step-up converter/transformer. |
