Was just browsing about, accidently ran about this:

www.otto.de/p/bauknecht-w...

Otto always has some deal with some brand for any appliance for a budget-ish model with 4 year warranty and they usually have a new model each year.

This falls into that line (550€, 4 year warranty, Bauknecht).

It mentions a "self cleaning condenser filter", which I never heared about with these Whirlpool made dryers.

Obviously it inherited some of the design elements from the Hotpoint\Indesit takeover.
It has typical A+++ 8kg specs (64dB, 2:32h standard cycle time, A class condensation, inverter motor).

Keen on learing how they do it. If it's just a BSH ripoff, I couldn't care less.

If it's different, I'm interested!

IMHO that doesn't look like a BSH product, the filter is different. It has a Hotpoint look to it, but I'm not very familiar with those. Definitely different with that awkward condenser opening on the other side than other Bauknecht models.

Looks like a Hotpoint!

The matching washer is also a rebadged Hotpoint.

The Hotpoint Dryer...

Alongside the auto-cleaning filter, I see Hotpoint is touting 'ActiveCare' fabric stress reduction; i.e. a reduction in lint produced.

Hm, most of the actual Bauknecht washers on the German website have gone and been replaced by Hotpoint models. :(
