Has anyone ever seen a Kenmore side by side made by Amana? I saw one at Habitat, I wanted to get a pic at it but I didn't have my phone. It was that light almond bisque color.

But I'm pretty sure it was a true Amana because it had the Temp Assure style controls in the fridge, plus the ice and water dispenser looked very Amana-ish. It had an auto night light sensor (on this it said Smart Light above the sensor) and black paddles for the ice and water. It also had a big drain area under the dispensers.

To me it looked like an updated version of the late 80s/early 90s Amanas, more rounded and no chrome.

Products made for Sears by Amana have a model number beginning with 596, such as 596.******. If it's newer, it may have been made in Whirlpool's Amana manufacturing facility, but would likely have a Whirlpool code 106.
