I just posted some hysterical (I mean historical) Dexter wringer washer brochures along with other automatic washer documents to the Ephemera Library if anyone would like a copy.

Love love love the cigarette reference in the Dexter brochures LOL! Not something they would push today for sure.

#1 Dexter Quick-Twin and Standard Washer Brochures
#2 Westinghouse 1969 Models and new Agitator Information
#3 1960's Hotpoint Product Identifier

That's funny Robert!

My sister told me when I asked her why she got divorced after 25 years that 50's and 60's housewives had their cigarette's coffee clutches with neighbors, and booze hidden away. Today's woman doesn't have to put up with a husband who pays her little attention, won't improve the house, and bowls and golfs every weekend.

I thoroughly enjoy how two is capitalized as if its a big deal. Not one, but TWO loads.

HI Robert, I would love a copy of all of the Dexter machines. I have a 1950's Twin Dex and it runs just fine; it just doesn't look good. Let me know what you want for a copy. thanks, Gary

Wow! That Dexter should have appeared on Mad Men. My Mom got a Dexter in 1962. It's the second model in the brochure. Never thought it would appear in a pdf. Love it. Thanks, Robert!

When did Philco start making Dexter washers? Mine says made in Fairfield, Iowa.

So Hotpoint sold a top loading dishwasher made by D&M as well as the one made by GE. Interesting.

Tom, I think dishwashercrazy (Mike) in Peoria found one of these oddball Hotpoint portables a few years ago.
