 Porcelain quality and shipping/handling care is horrible nowadays. It'll be tricky to get any coating to stick to the porcelain with some sort of prep. It may stick somewhat to the rust but peel/loosen all around those specific spots. And that's not bad, I've seen considerably worse. Maybe keep the new basket in reserve, put the original back and check it in a few years. Don't wash in cold water, and use a proper dose of good-quality detergent. | ||

patching porcelain Menards did have it so I'm going to try that, thanks for the suggestion. It says you have 24 hrs to use it after mixing, so I'm going to use it on the basket, and where the paint chipped off where the bleach dispenser seats. | ||
