One of RJ's renters reported trouble with the washer ... stalled at the rinse phase and making a grinding noise. Found a bootie-type sock in the pump. Obviously it went over the top of the basket due to overloading ... but still surprises me that such an item got past the pump filter/protector. 1) tub outlet 2) business-end of the pump 3) sock Also ... I didn't get a picture of it but is there supposed to be a notch cut in the rim of the outer tub toward the back that dips slightly below the tub ring, perhaps to function as an overflow port? The top flange of the tub ring is cracked, broken off toward the back right in that area, so some sort of "incident" has apparently happened. However, the edge of the notch isn't jagged, it's smooth as if purposely formed that way. |
