Was window shopping and noticed Frigidaire website only features top load and stacked units. Neither Sears nor AJMadison carry their FLers either.

I'm guessing Electrolux took over the 'premium' aspect of front load laundry?

Looks like you're right! Only one top-loader and one laundry center are listed at their website. Oddly, the washer photo from the Laundry area of the website shows a front-loader.

Found that really funny! Also, they still offer a 'washer selector' tool that compares front and top load washers..

That being said, the most frugal Electolux option, while still expensive, is a very basic machine. Outside of the supposed LuxCare, it's ridiculously basic. 5 cycles: Normal, Heavy Duty, Delicate, Rinse, and Clean Washer. No heater, no extra options (other than Delay Start and Extra Rinse), no nothing. Bare bones Affinity machine, but for $875 MSRP. No, thank you. I'll go Fisher&Paykel, now that they released their FLers in the US.

So the service rep said their top load machines are made by midea and an italian company makes their upper line dishwashers...

In white, the lux machines can retail for 999(627), 899(527), 799(427) and 699(317)

Midea Group is Chinese. They recently purchased Eureka brand from Electrolux.
