A friend of mine just bought an apartment building and is looking for a modern, reliable stacked unit to shove in the units at a cost effective price. I found a few machines and suggested them to him.

While on the hunt for him my own curiosity peaked, I noticed here in Canada the only washers that Frigidaire offers is their HE top load. Electrolux, however, has been more or less infecting the show rooms of Home Depot and other furniture chains up here.  Knowing Electrolux is the parent company to Frigidiare, I wonder how good these machines are? They seem to be highly rated and recomended bu CR and CNET, and I think theyre handsome machines packed with great features like detergent pre mixing.

Thoughts?

They are perhaps one of the most advanced wash systems out there if we are talking more up the line.

Double wash pumps (recirculation and premixing), verry good motor control, verry good cycle design, great flexibility in cycles, great user interface and all in all stellar performance.
Their dryers have always been pretty much spot on all the time while being verry gentle and suprisingly well thought through.

The sweet spot of everything seems to be the 5xx series as it has a heater and the mixing system.

But they are ELux so don't expect more then a decade of them...
