I was wondering if anyone would care to list progression of the different washing machines companies. Who acquired who what happened to some of the old time manufacturers? What ever happened to Hamilton, Thor, Bendex, and Norge just to start with? I was surprised to learn that whirlpool acquired RCA I always thought it was the other way around and that Whirlpool had broke free of RCA. I love the information I learn on this site. :>)

Bob - come on over sometime and do some reading, I have thousands of pages of good information in the appliance library. I too find the family trees of appliance companies fascinating. There was so much incest, inter-marrying and blending of step-families - never a dull moment!
