There's a set of turquoise kitchen cabinets for sale somewhat nearby, and this old Hotpoint dishwasher is included. I've shared these with Paul, but was curious if anyone else had some ideas. Could this originally have been an electric sink? The seller reports that the DW does not work. Thanks in advance for any help.

Looks like it probably started out that way.  Now it has a newer countertop and sink.

The more digging I do, the more I think you're right Jeannine - it looks like they "modernized" that kitchen at some point and removed the original white sink/drainboard that once was part of the dishwasher & cabinet unit.  It jibes with my earlier theory of that dishwasher being an early 50s model too.

Just curious, were the rest of the cabinets up for grabs, too?

This was differently an up-dated kitchen probably done in the late 50s through mid 60s, this HP DW would not have been made in turquoise originally.

Paul, yes the rest of the cabinets are available, as well as the sink, countertops, and range hood. Interestingly, some of the cabinets are wooden with metal fronts, whereas others are completely metal.
