There's a set of turquoise kitchen cabinets for sale somewhat nearby, and this old Hotpoint dishwasher is included. I've shared these with Paul, but was curious if anyone else had some ideas. Could this originally have been an electric sink? The seller reports that the DW does not work. Thanks in advance for any help.

The more digging I do, the more I think you're right Jeannine - it looks like they "modernized" that kitchen at some point and removed the original white sink/drainboard that once was part of the dishwasher & cabinet unit. It jibes with my earlier theory of that dishwasher being an early 50s model too.
Just curious, were the rest of the cabinets up for grabs, too? |
