Hi all,

I will send this to both this group and the washer group as well since not everyone checks both. I hope this will not cause an inconvenience.

Anyway.... It never ceases to amaze me at what I find at my town dump(transfer station)! I have dragged home some amazing things but nothing as big and heavy as this!! I know that I will not restore this washer nor do I have the room for it SO..... anyone want it? FREE!!!

What's the catch???? You must pick it up and have some extra hands with you. This washer weighs a ton!!!

I will be happy to post some pictures of it in a day or so. If there are no takers then I'm afraid that it is going to have to go back to where it came from...the dump. I realy don't want to see that but I just don't have the room.

Feel free to write me or call me at (508)624-0760 if you are interested.

Best,
Rich

Pictures!!!

It needs screws for the front/ bottom panels. The rubber boot in the door and the glass are in great condition. I have the small white knob and parts of the red knob put away in a bag for safe keeping.

I plugged it in and nothing happened though I didn't try turning any knobs. Everything looks very good inside. The cord and plug look just fine. The tub is also in very nice condition. I don't think that this saw hard use.

I do wish that I had the room, time and knowledge to restore this. I think they are one of the nicest looking old washers. I remember a few of these in various family members homes when I was growing up!

It's worth saving for the good-condition boot alone!

mass/mary

well, massachusetts and maryland may be close alphabetically...I wish they were physically also..I'd like to have that old thang...for a spell...just 'cause....

I wonder if John LeFever is going up that way any time soon and could pick it up for me...I'll check with him.

Holla from Hollywood.

Whatever happened to this machine?

Just curious if it found a new home!

I'm sorry for the late reply. I don't generally check this site. I am normally in the "Super" section and I've been exceptionally busy.

The Westinghouse had some interest and one person wanted it and was going to call but never did!

I am afraid that I'm going to have to bring it back to the dump. I have NO room for it and no time/ knowledge to do restorations.

I wish someone would take it. I hate to throw these things away.

Best,
Rich

I'd sure love to have that thing down here in Richmond! It looks just like the one my grandmother had. Only problem is that I don't have any way of getting up to Mass. and getting it back down here to Virginia. I'd hate to see this classic go to the Krusher
