Hello

Just got a Mobile Maid and was looking for some info on it. Have seen some print ads from 1962 with the same looking machine, but would like to get a better handle on the date if possible. Only issue with the machine is the hoses are brittle and need to be replaced, simple enough to handle.

Will post photos of it when it arrives up here from the states on the 18th of August.

thanks

Welcome to the site and congratulations on your find!

The 'V' in the model number would indicate that this is a 1961 model.  I am using an SP50W (the 1962 version) as the spare dishwasher in the kitchen at the moment.   Please do post pictures of yours when it arrives!

Thank you!

We were wondering what year it was from, thank you for letting me know. Its in amazing condition, pink interior, not a speck of rust on tub or racks.
Have read your postings about the mobile maid you got, noticed you had the same issue with brittle hoses on the machine. Did the clamps hold well when you changed out the hoses on the unicouple?

Yes, they are doing fine.  Just don't make that silly mistake I did with the type of hose for the water supply. Reinforced is the way to go - still holding after about a year of active duty.

Congratulations on your find. Although you can sometimes find portable dishwasher "Unicouple" hoses on eBay, I took my brittle Mobile Maid hoses to a local guy who does hydrolic work for trucks and put one small diameter high-pressure hose and one regular hose on the original Mobile Maid coupler. I couldn't get the hoses in the original color (pink) but they have worked out very well. The whole thing cost me about 80 dollars.

Looking forward to the pictures.

partner sent me a couple photos of the MM tonight after he cleaned it up a bit inside the tub.. Flash washed out the color of the insides but the one without came out a wee bit dark.

Will have more when its up here and am able to spend some time with it

took a video and noticed that the feed to the power shower is leaking badly and the water isnt going to where it needs to be. Any suggestions on how to sort this issue out?
