I currently have a Maytag DG106 in beautiful condition but am considering replacement primarily because I'd like something with multiple heat settings and secondarily because larger capacity would be nice to dry large items. I have the opportunity to purchase a used Whirlpool commercial gas dryer that is a couple years old and was used in a home. It is model CGM2793BQ0. Does anyone have experience with these. Would you recommend them for quality and good performance? Are the any other models/brands you'd consider? I don't necessarily need a commercial model, but I prefer something durable and easily repairable. It will be paired with a 20yr old Maytag top loader and a Speed Queen front loader.

Your Maytag DG106 dryer

These dryers were either heat (for both regular and wash'n'wear/perm press cycle and air fluff.  The heat temperature was low for both regular and wash'n'wear/perm press cycles.  That way Maytag made sure it was all fabric dryer.  Don't feel bad about lack of multiple heat settings.  On their electronic dry control TOL 806 and 906 dryers, the heated dry cycles were also only low.

Thanks this is good to know! I have to admit that for many years I was afraid to put delicate items in it. It dries surprising fast considering it is low heat.
