Hi, everyone. When does the light for the tub in an A-806 normally come on? Mine has not worked in the few years I've owned it, but I've always assumed it was the light bulb. I got my hands on a light bulb, and apparently it's a no-go at least at the beginning of a cycle. I'm waiting until tomorrow to run a full one. Any tips you have to finagle this light on I'd be happy to hear. Thanks in advance, as always.

Light should come on whenever the lid is open.

Lid Is Open

And the timer knob is pulled out to the on position, this was done so you could leave the lid open and have the light off.

John is right, it only comes one when the timer knob is pulled out (and you open the lid).

Thanks, guys. I figured as much. ...it occurred to me that the lid switch doesn't kill power when the machine spins. I've never thought much of it because it's been helpful that this feature has been bypassed/doesn't function in doing a few repairs, etc. over the past few years. Do you think maybe this is interrupting the light's connection? No obvious additions/bypasses to the wiring that I see.
