My sister's 2-speed plastic tub GE TL barely agitates, but does everything else. The junkola washer somehow has squealed
thru 9 years, including a tranny replacement. What do you think her problem is? She cannot get a new washer at this time.Thanks.

There is an agitator coupling beneath the agitator that is splined to fit the tranny shaft....it may be stripped. You need to give the agitator a good tug upward to remove, then unscrew the 7/16? bolt and remove the coupling. New ones retail for about $10-$15. Hope this helps. If you can spin the agitator around with your hand, then it is stripped.
