Hi, My Samsung Washer turned out to be incredibly unreliable and just a bad design of washer in general, not to mention the incredibly sensitive OOB sensor, i mean this machine wouldnt even spin one dry t-shirt, had to try it to see lol:P . The drum lifters decided to snap off, leaving us without a washer. Then the door for some reason just wouldnt close, but the machine would happily run with the door open!! ( was so dangerous) so in the end i was glad to see it being dragged out into the removal van lol:P

btw, here are a few videos of it on Youtube! ( in the link below)

Richard, your Zanussi seems to fill higher than I remember mum's did on the delicates wash!

Jon

The funny thing with the delicates wash on the Zanussi is that if you fill it with a big load of blacks or whatever the machine doesn't `refill' to the orginal level after the machine has agitated a couple of times to saturate the clothes so actually the water level can dip to almost synthetics wash level. Could this be the issue?

FWIW my Zanussi fills to about that level on delicates but only stays that level with a small / non absorbent load

Nick

Noep - even the initial wash fill would just come shy over the door seal however the rinse levels were the same as in Richard's pictures. Perhaps as mine was a 7 kilo machine the programming of water levels might be different.

might be because the drum was larger (read deeper back to front) or something. That Candy Hoover thing we have out in the garage never filled above the door even on woolens. But the drum was deep and the porthole small....

A very handsome washer; and I love your blonde cabinetry, too. Congrats on your new purchase and many fun-filled loads of laundry to you.

Refill In The Main Wash....

samsungfl's profile picture
So far ive found that my Zanussi is happy to refill to the high level if the water level drops to the rim or so lol, mine seems diffrent from quite a few peoples on here lol:p

Richard

Post# 156482 , Reply# 23   9/23/2006 at 07:18 (6,418 days old) by lavamat_jon (UK)

Yeah - my Zanussi would always refill to the mainwash level too (the AEG also does), so I think the programming for the Delicates water level was just different, lower than your Delicates cycle but it was still higher than the standard cycles :-).

Richard, do you ever use the Gel Tablets or Liquigel Capsules? I'm thinking about giving Persil another chance. The last time I ordered it I wasn't happy....

hmmm, cant say as i have actually, ive used Ariel Liquid capsules which are nice. Apparently Gel tabs arent great at cleaning performance.

I have used the Gel Tablets and I have to say I am not impressed at all, they have a horrible scent, and have no cleaning ability whatsoever. I Have used the Liquigel Capsules and found them to clean brilliantly, smell lovely, and rinse out fairly well.

These are just my opinions and you may have a different POV if you decide to try them.

Take Care
Dan
