After reading the Frigidaire Affinity thread and the ensuing top loader info, I have a few questions.

I have a Kenmore (Frigidaire) laundry center with the top loading washer and straight vane agitator. It was manufacturerd around 2001 and is identical to their BOL laundry centers produced now.

It's been a dependable workhorse, but it doesn't have the greatest turnover with that agitator if you load it up. So, I end up washing small loads with a 2.7 cu ft tub.

Since higher line Frigidaires have the spiral model, I was wondering if one of the spiral agitators would fit to give me a little bit more capacity and turnover?

Does anyone have any ideas on if it's possible, how difficult would it be, and what part I would use??? Any ideas would be greatly appreciated (the side by side washer and dryer are going to have to wait a bit due to a medical emergency, and I would like to get this one more efficient).

You could try putting a Frigidaire auger agitator in it. That should easily be ordered from any parts dealer. Make sure your machine's tub is the same size as a stand alone Frigidaire TL is.

I checked repair clinic and Frigidaire...

...and it appears that the BOL laundry center machines are the last ones with the 2.7 vs. the 3.0 cu ft tub. I think I'm stuck with what I have. Thanks for the pointers, though. I'm learning stuff left and right since I joined this forum. Thank you all for bearing with such a newbie. :-)
