A public note of "thanks" to a wonderful member here Fred Gosiewski AKA "Blackstone" who was kind enough to send me this literature from his personal collection on my Blackstone Elegante 62 dryer. Hope to meet you in person someday and also to obtain some genuine Blackstone parts that you have kindly offered for sale. I will be digging my Model 250 out soon and start working on it, along with the 1969 Blackstone washer that I have and the Hoover badged set of Blackstones........ all will be early winter projects, I hope!

Jimmy,

Isn't it just great to get all the literature about your appliances? And how nice of Fred to share it. I was always fascinated about 40-50 year old papers and cataloges, both in trains and in appliances/parts.

And as hard as parts are to come by, it's equally nice of Fred to offer to sell some of his.

Rich

Hi Rich, yes its wonderful to obtain some of these to go with the appliances that we own or hope to own someday. It was it was a double gesture here from Fred since he sent me all this for free.

This is too cool, Jimmy, Fred is a great guy! I wish you could still use that certificate to get the matching washer!

Hi Jimmy
The Blackstone washer / dryer set in the postcard above is just like the set I remember from Carmel lumber from the late 60's. It was a solid SS tub with a back opening lid and a filter pan almost like a filter flow. Real nice set.

yeah, I remember this too, our neigbors had one!

The Kozlowski's had that exact set shown on the postcard. I remember the "diamond" emblem on the front, and Peteski50 is right, it had a system like a "filter-flo" but the water stream came out of what looked like a round cut-off hose at a diagonal and fired into the pan. It was replaced by an early 70's GE set that they got from their in-laws. I would love to see one of those machines again!
