HI

Hope this is not a stupid question. But here it goes. Is there any where just to buy the motor for a timer and not the hole timer itself. Timer goes to a amana plw6501w2b.

look up prices for the timer and run about $80.00. Fixing this for my dad who thinks $80.00 is too much for a piece of metal and some plastic gears when just the motor went out.

Any help would be great.
Right now he's using the old coin-op.

The timer motors today are usually not replaceable as a seperate item. If you can give me the model number, serial number I could find out for you.

The timer motor is not a replaceable item; you have to replace the
whole timer. Do you have a parts dealer that you can go to?

thanks
realy there is no parts dealer around here. Most of them say they can order it but would coast 198.00 pluse tax. Is there any online ordering that takes money orders. Senn one for $70.00. But not much info on money orders.

Thanks ever so much

The timer motors aren't available separately but I have replaced motors from a junk machine. If you can find someone with a similar late model machine thats junk maybe you can just replace the motor.(There are plenty out there) They are replaceable just not able to buy them separately.

If you want, I can get it for you at my cost plus shipping. But once it is installed it's yours. It cannot be returned. I think my cost is about $55.00 plus shipping. Email me with your address and we can work something out, if you like! Does the timer not advance through the cycles?
