Hi,
We came upon your web site while trying to research our Norge ringer washer left to us by our grandmother. We are attaching a picture of the washer and would appreciate any info you could give us on this piece. As you can see in the picture, this washer is in great condition and last we heard, it ran great. We are not sure if this is from the 40's, 50's era? We understand that it is not on your "wish list", but do not know anything about this washer. If you should know anyone that is interested in this type of washer any help or info would be greatly appreciated. We thank you in advance for any assistance in this matter.

Thank you,
Steve and Lori

eBay or Craigslist

Here is an ad that is currently on eBay for a Norge wringer washer...pretty similar to yours, so I would guess yours is from the mid-50's, especially since it is pink....colored appliances appeared in the mid 50's. I also saw another eBay ad for a Norge wringer from the late 40's and it appears a lot different in style than yours.

If you are interested in selling it, you may want to try listing it on eBay or Craigslist...be sure to inlcude photos inside and out to illustrate what good shape it is in.

It might be fun to use it for awhile and see what doing laundry was like a couple of generations ago.

Good luck!

Cool pink wringer - I always wondered how the Norge conventional washers were, I've only seen a couple of them.

Look at the other ad the seller has for sale - the elusive picture of the Norge hair dryer attachment for their dryers! I knew I'd seen this ad before...

Sorry it's so small, I snagged it from the seller's ebay ad ;-) Look closely, you'll see the door cover and hose/pipe to the headgear.

Just wanted to say thanks to all of you that have taken the time to reply. We still are in our quest to find out what year this is and what it is worth. Oh and of course, my husband wants to know how it works in case our washing machine breaks down!!!!! (I don't think so!) We do appreciate all your help and look forward to corresponding with this group as we find it very interesting......think we may have found a new hobby!

Thanks again,
Steve and Lori
