While in this town following a up on washer lead from my web site, I stumbled upon a huge, fenced-in junkyard (without my camera) that had a closed sign on the gate, but directions to the owner's house. Of course I took the extra time and went to the house. After introducing myself to the wife, she said that her husband was not available, and that there were washers & dryers inside of the fence, but nobody had been in that section for years & years and it was quite overgrown. So we talked some about this hobby and my train hobby, and she said that her grandchildren had lots of trains. But getting back onto the appliance subject, she said that couldn't believe that someone would drive 5 hours for old washers. After an hour and some coffee & cookies, I told her that I had to get going. She didn't want me to leave empty handed, so she went into her basement and after 10-15 minute's time, she came backwith this for me to keep. Once her husband and I can agree upon a time, I'll go back and see what goodies are there. I'm NOT getting my hopes up because "years & years" translates into "lots of rust" to me, but who knows. Oh and by the way, I did email a fellow collector whose town this place is in to ask if I could see his collection while I was in the area, but the email he has posted in his profile is incorrect.
