Thanks Kenny, that was a very interesting article! Since they could not state an Author or Publication Date, I assume this article is in the public domain, so I will post the text at some point on the site.

What an article it fills in alot of gaps!!! And no mention of Kendall Clark very interesting! I need to go to all those places now and visit the "sacred turf" where it all happend!

We could never get a handle on the number of machines sold before the War ,335,000 is alot of product! I know one was sold to one of the wives of the Manhattan Project and shipped to Los Alamos - she refused to leave Chicago and go there unless the Navy bought her an Automatic washing machine!!

I bet that archive has alot more info in it.

Wow--how and where it all started. Lemme crawl out to the garage and open the washer when mama isn't lookingt. The neighbors always get a kick out of Bobby doing this when they see the water flowing down the driveway.
