door closed and selecting cycle

60*c Whites...
the instruction book says that towels should be washed on the bed and bath cycle... i am not convinced, so i generally leave that cycle for my bed sheets (60*c Wash, 5 rinses, fast spin)

Spin Speed/Temp/Intensity

I have chosen 60*c, a 1200 spin, and high wash intensity

What are the problems with this machine

Hi Chris

Thanks for the photos. I have a recent Hottie. I wondered what problems you have found with this machine. Does it take ages to distribute before spinning? Is it stable or rattles?

My machine takes forever before it spins, I wondered if this machine was the same?

Rob

hi Rob.... have not had any major problems with this machine yet... although i am aware of who it is made by!! the rinse distribute is the same as the old hoover logics/early 90's hotties in the sense that it starts to distribute whilst full of water, and then starts to spin.
The final spin starts that way, then the machine slows down and distributes (pointlesly) for about 5 minutes and does its thing.
it is still really quiet, and it is stable -the only rattle comes from loads like the pictures show where you can hear the tub vibrating whilst spinning.
what prob do you have with yours??

Hi Chris

Your machine sounds much better than the normal Hotpoint range. I do actually like the machine I got but it does faff about a lot with distributing, so much so that it's made me late where a 30 mins wash lasted an hour. That was also with a nice varied load.

Like yours mine rattles on top speed with lots of heavy things in but is generally quite stable.

The reason I asked is because I am thinking of selling it and getting an Aqualtis, but I'll just have to see.

Thanks for pics

Rob
