A few years ago in one of my Mums Take A Break magazines they used to have a weekly look at celebrities homes, not A listers but regular celebs, One week Sam Fox featured and it showed her in the kitchen. She had a White Creda Supaspeed washer. Not long after Cheryl Baker was in and she had a White 95 series Aquarius. Recently Anthea Turner on that programme "Perfect Housewife' (if that is her own mansion and not rented for the programme) she has a Miele washer and dryer. Anne Widdecombe has a Hoover Performa and a 3kg White Knight dryer When Justin and Colin madeover Christine Hamiltons kitchen I noticed she had a Hoover washer similar to a Performa. Clarrissa Dickson-Wright (the surviving half of the 2 fat ladies) has a Bosch from about 1998 or so. Does anyone else know of celebrities washer choices? Nick |

In the Superman DVDs-season 5 and 6-Jim Olson gets a chemestry set and is using it in the basement of his home-in the background you see a pink Hamilton WD set.In other episodes-Sunbeam Mixmasters are seen in the kitchens-esp of one of the bad guys. |

Doesn't Sir Elton live mostly in Atlanta these days? I have never seen Amana's that look like these do. Are these UK models? |

IIRC, those electronic Amanas were from Elton's home in Atlanta, and were "rarely used," per the eBay listing. Those Amanas are U.S. machines from the very early 90s (maybe even late 80s?). Amanas are fairly common in this area (we must have big distributors here or something) and you still see models from that vintage from time to time, although most have the rotary dials. |

I forgot to add to my post above that several years ago I had a friend who worked with the actress Bess Armstrong (she played the mom in "My So-Called Life,"). I got to go to Bess' house in about 1992, and she had a set of center-dial Maytags in white. I also went to the actor Jay Thomas' house, and they had a Montgomery Wards set in almond. It looked like it was from the mid-1980s.

I know that the Brady's had a Green Belt driven Whirlpool set, Wonder Woman was walking through a Speed Queen laundry mat as Diana Prince, talking about how she was a do it your selver when it comes to cleaning and laundry circa 1977, Of course , Rosanne had Gold center dial Maytags for the first few seasons before one day they mysteriously became I-18 in the same color, On the Torkelsons, there was a center dial Kenmore set that she cemented in the basement floor so that the repo man could not take them. Does anyone know what kind of machines they had on Absolutely Fabulous? I thought that it looked like an Equator Wash/dry, but now that I am more familliar with European machines, I am not so sure.:)

I saw an interview and house tour with Carol Burnett on the House and Garden Network. (Carol had just moved to New Mexico.) The tour included the laundry room. She had a matching Maytag set. Mike |

I have always had a thing for Nick Lachette, epcially when he was in 98 degrees.Washing his clothes, well for me would be a pleasure for me, he is a real sex symbol.I have never seen a pic of you, although, I am sure that you are not a bad looking guy. I have always had a weakness for the Britsh accient and the accient that Antonio Bandaris has oh my, I could just melt like a 14 year old in social studies with a teen beat mag.I am sure that he has a Miele.
