This has to be one of the more stylish dishwashers I have seen in many a day. It's currently languishing at the Renton Washington Salvation Army, just a stone's throw from Seattle. (If anyone goes to snag it, do NOT touch my Coldspot Freezer, or I will hunt you down! ;-)

Sorry for the poor picture quality on these. It's a pretty grim place, and my phone is feeble.

closeup 1

The control panel. What's not to love about a "Hygenic Rinse?"

And finally...

a nice big dial set in an oval, giving it a sort of eyelike appearance!

My interior pic just didn't come out, but from what I remember, it looked to be in great condition. I would have snagged it, but I had just sold John on the Coldspot, so I didn't want to push it.

A friend of mine that I grew up with had that exact model except his was coppertone. I loved how the timer dial had a pin needle light behind it to show where the cycle was in progress. Your pictures turned out beautifully! I never come across neat vintage appliances here at the thrift stores, but I never pass up an opportunity to look. What was the price of the dishwasher? Also, did you happen to look inside?

How much is that dishwasher in the window? sung to the tune of the famous Patti Page song.

OMG so close to mom's first DW in 1967/68.
Undercounter, white.

Mom's was a "Lady" Kenmore (TOL). No external timer. But there were neon lights inside that stationary "eye", such that the lights "rotated" to show the phase of the cycle/programme.

Ah memories!

Avocado green racks to match the buttons and bumper/trim on the top?

Sure is a nice looking machine.

Yes, around here those KM's were probably the biggest selling models in the mid to late 60's. Sears was our only dept store, had revolving credit which the smaller appliance stores couldn't match. I remember them more for the smell of a just washed load.

Wow, that's a nice one, very classy. Love the "eye" around the timer knob. Hopefully someone will save this.

Doesn't Northwesty live up in Renton?
