Hi Chris

This was a programme in the 80's and covered vacs, fridges, central heating, sewing machines as well as washers etc....I wore so many copies out I had to get a new master for backup a few years ago....

A little quiz is to study the pic at the end when Tim is sat on a pile of washers and try to name them all..

Have fun, Mike

found this link when surfing for the videos

Wrote to Tim Hunkin and told him how much I enjoyed his videos and that I belonged to a club that restores washers and vacuum cleaners and got a response back thanking me for my email

Hey, thanks for posting this really fun video! I had my kid brother (14) sit and watch it with me, and he was very entertained as well!

I did notice something very special about this video. It features a segment of the early 50's Whirlpool movie, "Mother Takes a Holiday". The Prelinger Archives houses both part one and two of this wonderful movie. I've included the link for part one - it is a MUST watch for anyone on this board!

dialup

Hi
I am on dialup access only, so I generally avoid videos. My max connect speed is 28800, occasionally 31200 if I'm lucky. I am pretty inexperienced at downloading video.

I saw most of the Secret Life of Machines on TV but missed the washing machine one - boo hoo!

I'd love to download this episode but am concerned about how long it would take. Anyone care to guess how long it would take at 28800??

Thanks

Chris.

Chris when I was on dial up if there was something large to download I started the download before I went to bed and I let it download overnight. Can you do the same?

Hi Chris,

Send me your address and I'll burn them to CD and post it down.

I've got most of them downloaded already.
