Here I am washing 3 pair of jeans and a sweat shirt. You can really see the tub index. The SQ dist. located a service company. I'll call on Monday to schedule an appt. CLICK HERE TO GO TO easyspindrier's LINK |

I have a Speed Queen AWS52NW which is a step down from your model and the tub indexes also anywhere from 2 to 6 inches. I have a feeling it is normal for this machine. |

I also have a Speed Queen washer model # AWS52NW and the tub indexes 2 to 6 inches depending on the load. I have a feeling this is normal for these machines. |

I was just about to ask if the water level in the video was at its highest factory-set level. That seems to be their trick lately---just lowering the water level to decrease the number of gallons used in a cycle. The same thing was done to my Frigidaire TL'er. Unfortunately, mine doesn't have an adjustable pressure dome thingy.

I have a 95 Dependable Care Maytag, super capacity washer, and mine too will index at times under a heavy load, even when ex large water setting is used. If I was doing the same wash load, I would use the highest water level. Jeans are a heavier load, and require a higher water level for them to circulate for a proper rollover. You used a medium water level, and making the machine to work harder during agitation, causing the tub to index in the process. Just my observation. Rich |

James-- (on water levels) Glad to hear SQ's highest water level still fills the tub. Yet another reason I like their product. At the highest setting, the water level on my Frigidaire fills to where yours is in the video. Like your machine, that water level USED to be just over medium until Frigidaire decided to just decrease the water level in order to make the washer appear less thirsty. Unfortunately, that really cuts down the capacity.
