When I was growing up in the 60s the first washer I remember was our Philco-Bendix Automagic. I believe it was about a late 1960 or 1961 model. It had a lighted console like this...

No,these aren't mine. But I remember them NEW in Firestone stores in the 1960s.(for you youngsters-yes,they really sold the full line of Philco home appliances.Goodyear sold GE.) | ||

Another Philco Bendix Automagic Here's a later model Philco Bendix. The year shown in the pic is wrong.Must be a late 1961 or early 1962 model because it has a console similar to the 1962 Philco Bendix "Miss America" model.
