RICH!!

I need parts from that Hamilton dryer!! Where is it? Is it available? Is the word "Keep" on the front still applicable? Is the Keeper willing to sell it? Is it in a corner farthest from the door behind 20 other machines? Please excuse my excitement.
Thank you,
Tom

I love, love, love those late '50s/early '60s Maytag washers. The Frigidaire dryer with the remote-location dial is cool, too. Thanks for sharing the pics.

Rich, can you give us some background of how you found this treasure trove and where?

It warms the heart knowing that there are still places like this to be found out there...

Answering All....

Tom - I'll ask about the dryer. If he saved it back for me, then you can have it. I did not ask about it when I was there.

Peter - I found this place through one of my mass mailings a few years ago. This gentleman handles over 10,000 units every month and saves the unique ones off to the side for me. Over the years, I have been taking most all of them and sharing with other collectors to help them build their collections up. About the only washers I pass on are the 1-18's. He got 15 of them in during Christmas. I will buy the window lids from him though. He's loaded with vintage ranges and refrigerators.

mistereric - did you want the white (lighted) Maytag set? He does have the matching dryer. Also for your dishwasher racks - www.affordableappliance.com... and tell Ann that I recommended her to you.

everybody else - any requests?

Very cool! Is this the same place up in NY that Mike D. was talking about earlier?

Hi Austin,

No, this is an entirely different place. I'm very fortunate to have made 3 good contacts like this guy. All three are in different states!

It's also interesting to see the brands that come in most often in which areas of the country. Most guys can't seem to find Frigidaire, and these places scrap them because they are so plentiful. I have yet to find a Hotpoint, Kelvinator or Westinghouse top loader anywhere in the tri-state area!

Thanks!

Rich

I'm still looking for a Rollermatic set or just the washer if that's all that's available. Also a Custom Imperial 1-18 set.

Thanks, Jim
