Matt, the adjective volumematic 12 leads me to believe this is a machine probably from 1962 or 1963 as late as 1966. I venture to say, the programmes are selected from the bank of buttons on the right side of the panel. Those two small knobs on the left are for water level selection and the other is the timer control knob. There looks to be a "timeline" display between the knobs & the buttons. This looks very similar to the TOL 1963 or 1964 GE washer he in the US. That machine is sometimes the POD.

WOW!

You hardly ever see GE's in Australia let alone one this fancy!

Looks like our friend Leon might be interested...

We're bidding on it

And it'll come up with a Hoover 520 we bought recently from Melbourne Also.

Guys, the POD for January 18th is the machine I had in mind for the basis of what I thought this GE machine was based on. There are similarities in the control panel, even though the buttons are on the left side of the Aussie control panel. Bob

GE and POD

I am intrigued by the POD today. Can someone explain the cable suspension to me? Even a little bit?

The Aussie GE is nice looking, congrats on the find!

Gentle Giant

I am happy you won the GE. They do a great job, last for YEARS and have such classy lines. I hope to see it wash with Aussie water.

This is just wonderful, both machines are great! While I can't identify the GE, I certainly do like it!
