So far, based on the size of the picture, it is pretty small capacity.

Looks like a SpaceMate, smaller machines that could be stacked or built in. The ad was sent by another member when I'd asked about them some time ago.

Good luck finding a mate though, these appear to be very rare - more so than the slant fronts. I don't even know if anyone here has one. They are cute!

Thats the westy spacemate dryer, it was turned upside down to stack on the washer, right side up for side x side. probably from 57 or 58 and they do not have a lint filter. ours was stacked and when the washer died long ago you turned it over flipped the chrome WESTINGHOUSE plate, even the chrome "clothes dryer" popped off to turn right side up. The parents dryer like this worked until 1975

Thank YOU

You e-mailed me the ad back in October, I think. Glad I saved it, it's a great vintage ad, 'specially if you like the 50's colors! A local department store back in Amarillo around 1960-1 or so had dislayed these side by side, like a rainbow. (BTW - my parents didn't mind my looking at washers...)

Anyone, are these as rare as they seem? Sharples, good luck! Let us know if you get the dryer.

spacemate

I have a spacemate set that I got from filterflo. I use it weekly. (am doing a load in it right now). The set works great but the capacity is rather small. The dryer has an automatic cycle at the end of the timer.Set the timer here (just past the 3 hour mark) and the dryer shuts off when the clothes are dry but the timer keeps going and continues to the off position. The clothes are usual dry in about and hour.
