Hey Guys,

I spied this set a few days ago and thought I'd see some bids by now. Thought some folks out there would be interested in this set - I've seen a few folks mention that they'd love an 806 - well, here is your chance!

"You are looking at a used Maytag washer and dryer that has given us years of good service. Both the washer and dryer are electric. This set was manufactured by Maytag in approx. 1975 and was purchased new by our family. It was well-maintained, and everything still works.

This would be a great buy for a second washer and dryer for a cabin or summer home. Or maybe you're collecting valuables for a 70's style decor.

We are offering this item for local pick-up only. We are located in Gap, PA, approximately an hour west of Philadelphia and an hour east of Harrisburg.

NO RESERVE! SOLD AS IS. Feel free to contact us with any questions. Thanks for looking!"

I was going to bid

I had been conversing with the owners of these units and I was going to place a bid. I figure I could have them for spare parts and/or back-ups or even take my time and paint them turquoise or something. They are an hour away from me. But I see someone bid on them now and as long as someone here is going to snag them, I'd rather they'd get them.

What a great looking set! I hope whoever snags them gives them the love and attention that they need!!

Ben: your laundry studio looks fab!! I see that you still have room for a few more finds. ;-) How's the new house coming along?

Hey guys, I can't tell whether these are white, gold or (dare I hope,) pink? Can you? I'm asking the sellers, but the picture isn't clear.

Hey Ken - these machines are in the glorious hue of white!

Venus - yes, the studio has filled up considerably - that shot was taken when I first bought the house. I am holding the basement off till last, as I would like to get the living portion completed asap, then start digging into the plumbing/electrical work that is needed for the washers and dryers sometime this summer, and hopefully have a mini wash-in in the late fall! Drywall is going up right now, along with some demo of the kitchen and bathroom. Knee deep in sweat equity!

This set is identical to the ones we bought in 1969 when I was married. My ex-wife still has them and they are working flawlessly.

Love how the laundry studio is coming along Ben. I realize that you have lots of work ahead, but I can see that it is going to be VERY nice!
Can't wait to see it!
