Does anyone know if Samsung is getting the heave-ho as vendor for some Maytag units now that Whirlpool is in control?

Paul, I think that was done quite a while ago. I do believe the MAH6600, MAH8700, and MAH9700 will be going away. I heard you pretty much can't find them in the supply chain anymore.

I was at the Maytag store last Tues, and they were ( the set) on Clearence. i did not look at the price of the dryer, the washer was 749.

Just as I suspected...

Thanks. Somehow I just figured that whatever washer they wanted to market under the Maytag label could be built by the master craftsmen of Whirlpool. I just didn't think they need Samsung any longer... It didn't help matters that the MAH9700 was recalled for spinners breaking apart. Not a good way to start a relationship I suppose...

No more Maysung!

They've quit making the "Maysung-" and good riddance as far as I'm concerned. I had one-briefly-the MAH6700. What a piece of junk! The Duet HT is a far better machine, and undoubtedly the new Maytag Epic will prove to be so as well since it's basically the same machine.

Maytag was providing service for Samsung under contract, I wonder if that's run it's course by now...

Maytag made some dishwashers for Samsung as part of the deal.
