Last weekend we were at a antique dealers looking for something for the kitchen (not a dishwasher) In one of his barns I found a vintage Frigidaire dishwasher built in. I have no more room for built in's All I have room for is a portable. Anyway this dishwasher is in mint condition. The guy said he got it years ago from a lady who used it 3 times & remodeled her kitchen with NO dishwasher. She liked washing dishes ????????? The quality & weight of this maching impressed me. Racking looked very friendly. The bottom spray arm had a stainless steel small spray arm on one end. I have never seem this before. I loved the row of lights on the door. Does anyone have info or pic's of this machine. Hey 10 years from now I may have the room for this machine. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Michael

Mike, taht sounds like the last version of GM built Frigidaire dishwashers with the small wash arm at the end of a wash arm. Anywhere from 1973 to 1978.

That sounds like a DWCI from around 1974.If it has all push button controls and lighted cycle bar,it's definately a Custom Imperial.I had one a long time ago and it worked great but the door was real flimsy and the noises it made were loud enough to wake the dead.I liked the results I got and its capacity was great. However,if I knew then what I know now,I would have bought a KitchenAid.
