on my way home from work today, i noticed a harvest gold portable set on the curb... looks to be early 80s or 70s, black/wood/chrome controls. they look like they stack, and they have bevels to allow access to the washer when the dryer is on top. looks like a white plastic tub and a folding washer lid. they are westinghouse models.

are these worth grabbing? i don't have much room...

To check them out to see what might be needed to get them operating again and you've worked on any Washers & Dryers before, I would say "Go For Them" and let us know what you find out about them.

Those WCI-built machines with the slanted controls on the front were fun machines. An aunt had one in Minnesota - it was quite noisy but fun to watch with the little tub indexing around that angel-wing agitator.
