Since we were gone for the weekend, I had to put off the laundry until this week, so today I decided to whip up some suds in honor of Nate & Roger's birthdays. The laundry I had made for two perfectly-sized loads for the WO-65-2 Unimatic and the 24" Kenmore with the mammoth winged Surgilator. I used 1 cup of Roma for each machine for good suds, and both did quite well in that respect. Although the Unimatic of course was the clear winner with a decent-sized cake (by no means the biggest one I've gotten out of this machine, though), and, like always, it was fun watching the suds fly on the first spin. Enjoy, and again, happy birthday!

Here's the detergent measured for the Unimatic load, in the Frigidaire measuring glass no less!

Halfway into the 8-minute wash...

Meanwhile, the modified 24" Kenmore is busy thrashing and splashing...YAY for big agitators. With that winged Surgilator, there's no doubt those jeans will come clean!

Overflow wash begins...

And now we have a sudscake! YAY!

Braking from the spin...notice the agitator moving

Overflow rinse. With the help of some Ensueño, the rinse water is clear and suds-free!

Kenmore rinse action, with waves

Final spin...Rapidry 1140

Post# 189089 , Reply# 10   2/6/2007 at 23:08 (6,282 days old) by westytoploader ()

...And the Rapidry 525 on the Kenmore. Notice how the winged Surgilator takes up quite a bit of space in the standard-capacity tub.

Very fun, Austin! I'll bet those jeans were screaming for mercy in that Kenmore with that huge agitator!

Roma

Austin-

I, too like to use Roma.

We washed the vehicles on Saturday and I used Roma to wash the filthy rags and towels in the AMP. It really gets out greasy dirt better than so-called modern detergents, and, of course, a good cake is included!
