In the Tide.com Web site, and then the "High Efficiency" link, somewhere inside, I happened to find this TideŽ HE Washing Machine Buying Guide as a PDF download. For easier reading, I converted my copy into a Microsoft Word text document. If unsuccessful in locating this download, then find the "Product Demo" link and the section for the Tide HE. You might have to sign up as a member of the Tide Web site.--Laundry Shark

"Gentle On Fabrics..."

HA, HA, HA!!!

Note the de-emphasis on marketing the powdered HE product.

Reminds me of the TIDE product samples found in new washers. Occasionally, it would be Bold 3, but it was almost always a P&G product, as though we are supposed to buy it with the new washer.--Laundry Shark

Re: What detergent to buy for Front loader:

Proctor and Gambles had the best detergent to use in a front loader and that was Oxydol as my Grandmother had a Westinghouse frontloader laundromat and used Oxydol in it and everyone used to comment on how white her bed sheets were and My wife and I were somewhere washing a bedspread which was a light color and used oxydol and the stain came out and it looked very good and clean. It was cleaner than what she thought it was going to come out and I said that was the powerof a frontloader and oxydol. which was an unbeatable combination. P&G needs to buy back Oxydol and make it like it used to be. Danf.

P&G Should Buy Back Oxydol and Biz

*I'll also post this over in the Sandbox where it is more relevant there.*

P&G should buy back Oxydol and Biz. Look at the RedOxBrands.com Web site, as the splinter company has not updated the site in nearly two years. Their most recent newsletter was last archived sometime back in 2003. If Oxydol and Biz are struggling by themselves, then P&G should buy them back, *if necessary,* restore each brand to its original, successful formulation, and give both classic products a fair second chance. What say you?--Laundry Shark
