Wooo were back from our roadtrip! Jon & i got to this tiny little granny flat...One careful lady owner by the looks of things! The lady who sold it to us was waiting for us in this empty granny house looking bored out of her tree. We walked into to see the zanussi standing proud and clean ready to go. Firstly we had to disconnect it, which proved a little tricky as nothing had been disconnected is years you'd think. We then had the task of lifting it to and in my car, it was slightly heavy for my small frame but we got it there. Now then. The drive home was eventful lol. it slipped around and banged abit but we got it back in one piece. Were now having a cup of tea and a chat before we take it out my car and put it next to the others. I'll be back with an update, description and pictures and maybe a video in a while! Ciaoooo Darren After abit of pursuation, we got it unhooked and lifted it to my car....It wa |

Just a few facts for you all. This machine is actually a turn of the decade model from 1990. It has a heavy and solid build quality. Its spins at 1000/450rpm The mixed wash button increases the wash time. The quickwash is really fast and mananged to mooch through 4 rinses in 15minutes! With interm spins! The auto dry/halfload- Cuts out a rinse as its meant to be for halfload and obviously goes straight through to the drying cycle Jon and myself had a smashin afternoon we ran two loads through it; Firstly we did some coloured towels on a cotton 60 with the quickwash button! Which gives a nice wash action. This machine doesn't mess around it does what it has to then moves on. I like it. It did a nice low level wash, and dilution rinse. Surprizingly it did a spin after the wash! followed by 4 high level rinses with spins in between. Then a nice long 6minute final spin at 1000rpm! We tried the dryer too which got very hot and is in perfect working order. Then we did a 50degree minimum iron cycle. Which consisted of a wash level up to the rim of the drum. Which jon and i thought was made of enamel!?! Then 3 high level rinses, a rinse hold and a short 450rpm spin! It does a few minutes of anticrease at the end of the cotton and synthetic spins. The motor is a brush motor, but an exceptionally quiet one at that! There is a slight bit of rust under the detergent dispenser but the rest of the machine body is in great condition! No complaints from me! This is for keeps! I'm just uploading videos as i type this! Darren |

First vid! Mainwash on synthetic 50! You'll notice it does this odd tumble pattern of tumbling, stopping and carrying on then carryin on in the same direction then reversing and doing it again! lol very strange. fun to watch tho!

Hi timon90! I love those electrolux models! Do you have anypictures of it at all?! I'm very pleased with it so far! Cbosch- Unfortunately both my machines are for sale. Aswell as that dead hotpoint wm31. All on ebay. The logic has a speed control fault and needs a new motor. and the the quartz is fully functioning! Darren |

I must say I'm very fond of old Zanussi's lol, I've used the Washer version of this many times and Ive gotta say its a real workhorse! still going to this day :D If i remember correctly it has a brush motor because it always made a diffrent sound to my Bendix washer which had an Induction, but nevertheless it was still very quiet! Rather like Darrens one!! :D Richard |

I'm using a 85mod. Zanussi S600(Z912), with 500rpm as a reserve machine. Great and silent machine... But I have done alot with it to get it running. My uncle, who had it before, used it to wash mop's with, and when he had it, I changed the bearings, but they got worn after a short while + that the drum"spider" got broked off! Then I got the machine, and I found a new drum, and replaced new bearings/sealings, and a new pump. Runs like new! I'll post some pic's of it in a new thread wery soon;)

My friend had the jetsystem turbodry shown above. It was great but one day he put a rug in it, set the cottons 40 fast spin prog and walked the dog. When he came back the machine was on the other side of the room. When he took the rug out loads of concrete come out with it. It had spun so violently that is had literally smashed to bits. The whole drum was bent and twisted. I bet that would have been frightening to watch! Thanks for the vids Darren, I'll have a butchers when I get home. Rob |

Hi nick! Shame yours wasnt a good machine for you! I'm well pleased with it. Yea these machines are amazingly still! I don't no about yours nick but mine does a few bursts before the proper spin which i wasnt expecting, i think it helps it does counter tumbling shorts shades of a obb act. Its very stable and quiet nicely level in the corner. Example the load i did earlier had 2 pairs of jeans and a dressing gown in and didnt move! I was expecting a dance! I'm really pleased with the wash results. The rinse result is most important to me and this is fantastic a spin after the wash and four rinses with interm spins is all dandy with me! Darren |

Hi Darren Thanks for the vid's! Seems like a great machine. Thought it was interesting that the Delicates / Woollens progs where next on the dial (after cottons) J+K, and synthetics was after that L+M+N. I've never seen a Zanussi like that before! My auntie had one very similar to yours and my nan's got one from a few year later, and they where both Cottons, Synth, Delicates. |

I love the older dark grey panel zanussis, My friend had 2 of the FL812 machines, these had the induction motor, and they were really reliable work horses. They were bought in 1989 and they were used about 8 times a day, 4-5 days a week, for 12 years. Then they broke down in 2001 and they bought two hoover performa (Candy) Machines. Absolutely Amazing machines, they had loads of programmes on them as well, like the dial went from A-X or something like that. I miss the programme dials that you used to pull out to start the machine. A trade mark on most 80's machines, such as Zanussi/Hotpoint/Electrolux. Zanussi Really are the Appliance of Science Below is a photo of the FL812 model my friend had :) |

cool, Timon90 could you make a video of one in action please :) that would be awesome I just found on ebay, my nanas old washer, a Bendix 71388 1000 Autowasher Deluxe, she bought that in 1988 and that lasted her 12 years as well, always remember using Persil Automatic in it when i was little :) the drum formed a leak and the machine was clogged full of limescale so she had to scrap it was a good workhouse though, was a rebranded zanussi:) below the bendix 71388 machine circa 1988/89, I've seen machines like this in germany under the privelig name, which were grey. |

@Zanussi_lover: Maybe I can make a video of one, but I havent so good contact with the owners now....But I can try;) I hope one of them still have the machine...What do you mean about limescale? Sorry, but my English is really bad! @Rolls_rapide: I've seen alots of those dishwashers, but hav'nt repaired any yet. Yes, almost every Zanussi from that era had that movement in the drum...! But it's just on those machines which can be splitted on the middle... I dont care about that little thing anymore:P |
