And this is a TOL model

But, Alas, it is in New Zealand.

I do not think we have any Kiwi members.

My first Classic Find

Was a 1490N (No Heater)

Its not a pretty looking as that one on Ebay though.

I've got a control panel for a 1896 model which looks similar to the one in NZ, but the rest of the machine was past saving.

I Wish I Were a Kiwi!!

Would love to be in Christchurch at this time of the year!! What a fab machine! Great control panel and seems to be in excellent shape. Hard to believe that no one from NZ has discovered the site yet!!

Lawrence: Dame Edna...how's about we trade her for the washer? ;-)

The TOL model in NZ is very nice - I can't get over the side-opening lid, it fools the eye for a second.

The Sydney washer does look mint - are you going to grab that one?

Dear Lord, I do love these antipodean Whirlpools. If I had to own a Whirlpool, it would be one of these with their gorgeous blue control panels and internal water heaters.

I would love to have it but my huge problem is I have nowhere to store the, I live in a flat and Im lucy enough to have a small garage but no storage.

I want to get my old Simpson up to my parents house and Dad can help me fix it but I suspect they dont want dozens of washing machines, especially as they are storing stuff for my sister as well.

I have friends who were given a similar Whirlpool when they got married it has the black agitator and they have it in their laundry/storeroom downstairs. I can have it any time I want really. Im personally most interested in old Simpsons.
