Wow - that is 142 washer a 641C dryer - with the gold trimmed dials - I would say these are 1958, early 1959 machines! Very nice, and much more reasonable - and scarce due to the color - than the pink set that has been so infamous in the last month ~

That is something that I would consider. Repairs, it is a Maytag. If I did not know it, i would learn it.That looks like a great project. I love those old Maytags!!

Those are quite nice. Lighted dials, 50's styling, what's not to like? Even the yellow color is nice... not that awful Harvest (sorry harvest fans)... lol...

It would be an all day trip down to LA from my house, one way, and then I'm not so sure my pickup could make it. At 13 mpg highway, it would be quite costly in gas as well. But those ARE very nice.

I'm pretty sure, with six days left on the auction, the price will go up, but the starting bid is very reasonable.

Sudsmaster, YOU, Go get those machines. They are very rare in that color and you need to rescue them now. At least until I can come to CA and pick them up from you!!!!!!

That color is relatively rare, Robert had one, I have a yellow Maytag combo - the second yellow Maytag I've ever seen. Now they seem to be popping up like popcorn!

BTW Robert, what ever became of your sunny yellow Maytag?
