Would you know of anyone that would be interested in a Speed Queen Model 108
dryer, which is from the late 50's/early 60's? Or any way of contacting any
that might be interested?

It still runs, just doesn't heat up like it used to. I don't feel
comfortable with just taking it to metal recycling - if someone would enjoy
it, or want parts.

No money, just for someone to pick it up, near Allentown PA.

What year is this from? Is it BOL or TOL or somewhere inbetween?

BOL from about 1960. The curious thing about this one is the "Q" emblem on the front. SQ didn't begin using this until the mid-60's. If you look closely, the depression in the front/top under the black emblem doesn't fit it's shape.

Isn't it cool that it's vented from the control panel?

If I remember correctly most of those dryers had the pedel to open the door. This is the first time from that era I see a knob to open the door. I also remember the emblem always over to the right. Learn something new every day.

I always liked that "calligraphy" SQ that's on this one, the coin ops had that at one time, with just 1 amber/yellow "on"light, i think this was right before the 3 light wash, rinse, spin consoles came about. I have never seen the Q in the middle like this, on the front panel either.

Emblem

I just picked up this dryer and the emblem was gone. I asked where it was and they said they didnt have it but the picture show's it. Do anyone in washerland have one that i can purchase? Thanks again.

The original SQ dryers vented through the control panel, also.
