Oh yes, this is a "soft mount" unit. This means the washer has it's own built in suspension system, thus no need for a concrete platform.

Nah, something like that needs to rest on a stable and SOLID floor. Probably concrete would be best.

Still for the right home it would probably be streets ahead of what else is out there for the money. Lack of an internal water heater means the hot water supply should be close to the machine.
