Check this out! Matches the "fountain filter" washer!

Also has a cool Whirlpool BD as well.

Mmmm... they look beautiful! Those chrome/stainless steel dials look so sexy! Again, another reason why I wish I lived in the US...

I noticed the drum where the holes seem to stop about halfway up - was this unique to WP/KM washers? I've always thought that a rule of thumb was to load laundry to the top row of holes, and thought to myself that you couldn't fit much in if you loaded that WP according to that rule. I guess it's one of those rules that have a one-off?

Jon

PS - OT, but isn't Sunnyvale the town where Buffy the VS was set?

Ooooh....

Looked at that pic again - is that Hotpoint dryer one of the ones where it had a foot pedal to open the door? I always thought that was such a great & ergonomic idea!

And lighted control panel?

Hi Jon,

My 1982 BD Kenmore has the "low-row" holes as well. Here's an action shot...notice how the top of the tub is solid. And yes, this rule is an exception with these machines as I load to the top of the tub.

Oh and BTW, the Penta-Vane agitator isn't currently in the machine. I have a gold Super Roto-Swirl in now; will post more on this agitator and action shots later.

That's the whirlpool Imperial 70 I used to have. If you look at the top left part of the dashboard (blow up the pic) it says "Imperial Seventy." Great machine. Great cycle selection. Excellent Handwash cycle. (knits gentle). Bring back the BD Whirlpool. Notice the rust on the splash guard. They do rust easy even though they were porcelain enamel. The durawhite tub holds up well though.
