BUT.. I signed up to post a free ad. After signing up they couldn't gaurantee the safety of my information first. Then I saw a charge of $4.95 for a 30 day ad with the option to renew for 5 months for FREE. That was okay until they asked for payment and I was given a choice of "credit" "paypal" or "credit card" for the $4.95. When "credit" didn't work as I have no outstanding credit with them I selected Paypal. THIS is what I didn't like: I was immediately directed to a Paypal looking website which had the "https" in the header but it didn't quite look like Paypal. So I opened another browser and went to my paypal site independantly there I discovered a difference. In my other browser there appeared the "https" and down the string there appeared a /us/. This tipped me off I was on PAYPAL and when I went back to the NLA site to check the browser address detail it was not the same, there were lots of PAYPAL and Https but nowhere did it specify /us/ in the header. So I would beware and let this site hang out there for awhile. There is too much phishing for data going on out there these days. jet |
