Except for the cosmetics, the Inglis and Roper machines are substantially the same as the lower end Whirlpools.

Inglis is "exclusive" to Best Buy in the U.S. They carry the MOL 4300 and BOL models. I haven't seen the TOL 4400 model there.

Lowes sells them under the Roper brand. They have a 4340 model that is slightly better than the 4300, and do have the TOL 4400.

Home Depot has an Admiral which is the BOL machine with the plastic tub.

If you can live without the brand name and just need the basics, they're good value. I don't know whether a low-end Whirlpool or Kenmore is worth the extra hundred bucks or so just for some very minor differences and the brand name.

My parents needed a new dryer several months ago. They have their good laundry pair in one house and in the farm house was the older pair. The 15 y/o Kenmore dryer heating element kept going out and was expensive so I told Dad to just go out to Lowe's and get a Roper. It's actually not a bad dryer at all. Pretty much the same as the Kenmore they just got rid of and was less than $300 I believe.
