Hmmm any takers?? It arrived today by aeroplane from the mid west!

Once it is revealed I will have to convey my shock and error to the WHOLE club!

Yes this machine has shattered one of my assumptions!! When I looked her over I discovered how wrong I was.

Robert, Greg, Terry, back away from the keyboard NOW!

OMG! What's wrong with you all?

It's a six sided, white metal box, with a few holes here and there for a door to add and take out clothes and a few for some control dials.

Shhhhhssshhhhh! Now how easy was that!! And you call us Californian's strange!!

-lol!! Good Morning everone! Have a great day--James

ps. I think Gansky1 is WAY of on the dishes thing!! ;)

Its not a Filter Flo

jetcone's profile picture
I love that BOX!!

But this machine will get the scuzzy lint off my socks since there is no drying to be had in it.

Yes I've gone off the deep end and snagged yet another Bendix.

This is almost identical to my other 1949 machine except to my surprise it has Shocks in a 28 inch cabinet!
I had posted earlier that the 1949 year represented a change for Bendix in that they lost a patent to use the knee dampers so in mid year they were forced to switch back to shock absorbers. But I had erroneously said that the cabinet had to be bigger, the 30 inch machine which was made all through the 1950's.
Well here sits a shock machine 28 inches wide. And here I sit with egg on my dog's face!
So with both machines side by side and Roberts amazing test towels we can send them both off balance and see who remains standing!!

It is in great shape, I got it from the original family , they said it was a family heirloom! Imagine.
All it needs is a hose and a good cleaning inside. It runs smooth too, atleast in the driveway.

Let the towel wars begin! Any suggestions for a load??

jon

Hi everybody

jetcone's profile picture
I'll take some close up snaps tonight of both machines so you can see how identical they are. The tub and bearings in this machine are smooooooth.

I can't wait for the towel wars. The only problem is my other 49 has a stuck start switch in the motor so it may be awhile before I can get to that as I am currently reassembling the 55 Combo and it is coming together nicely.

Action shots to follow.

Hi Kim - I am trying to get more boots from England for these machines, right now were in fight over shipping to the USA. A stupid fight at that, they decided to cancel the order because they always do free shipping and I told them I never expected Free shipping to the USA I would pay the shipping!

GO figure, they have parts for sale I have mooolah and they can't do business.

Hi Terry:
I have no idea where all these machines are going yet but with an addiction its never a problem!
