Here is my latest save from the crusher, A Whirlpool Imperial set in Harvest Gold! The washer needs a control knob and has a small leak, model LAA8800Y3. The dryer is a three speed unit, model LAE8800Y0. I am thinking these are from 1974, can anyone help with the DOM?

Fantabulous! Should be 1973/1974-ish. That was the last year of 3-speed dryers, IIRC. The next year revision was 2 tumble speeds, then the feature was dropped.

Hi Dwight. Looks like a beautiful set. Does it have a surgilator agitator?

Please post pics of both control panels and the washer's interior. Thanks!

Very nice save - those 70's machines are really in season now!

I have that exact dryer, in the same color. LOVE IT! my speed control doesn't work though, I have to adjust it manually. Mine is a 1972 I believe.
Great save!

There's no shortage of older Whirlpool products around here! I just thought they needed to be saved due to the color, and the fact that the dryer was a three speed.
Now if I could just find some GM Frigidaire stuff..

Gorgeous set. Are these large capacity models?

Is that a 1982 Kenmore next to them? It is also gorgeous.

Yes, 70 series. It's the 1982 Sears I picked up a couple of weeks ago. The Whirlpool set are large capacity models.

Dwight does that set have a lighted console? Sure looks like it would. What a beautiful find and save!
