Nice finds Graham! By the way, the emblem that goes on that dryer looks like this, not the Q that was shown on the original picture. I have no idea what was up with that.

Nice machines, you'll love the SQ dryer, ultra-soft towels from that one.

Didn't you have a similar Whirlpool, Rick? Nice panel, I never noticed the space underneath.

Thanks Rick for the heads up on this washer

I forgot to give a shout out to Rick for giving me the heads up for this washer. I owe him a great deal of gratitude. Thanks again. And thanks Robert for the heads up on the dryer...i love them both.

Graham,

That RCA Whirlpool washer is beautiful. You gotta love that whole lighted control panel. I'm just so sorry I wasn't able to go with you on your trip to get it. I am back in the mood to get non-Frigidaire (blasphemy) sets again. No Greg, I didn't get another storage unit. I'm working on another plan.

Rich

Another plan - more appliance space? I would love to have the space for more but alas, I'm going to have to part with some things this summer. I brought home four last week, three more that I know are coming ...I may never get to park in the garage again. I really need to replace the storage shed in the back, maybe a comprehensive plan is what I need too. Keep us posted, Rich!

You are welcome Graham, and glad you were able to save it. When it is finished it will be a real "looker"

Greg, I did own a 61 Whirlpool, but mine was not an Imperial model, so it did not have a raised console. Very cool machine, and my very first classic washer. It came from South Carolina, and found it on ebay.

couple pixs from 2003...

Gregm has had this machine in his collection since 2004. It was my first restoration, and I was very proud of it.
Sometimes these collectable machines get some road miles on them. It came from South Carolina, lived in Northern Indiana for while, and now it lives in Massachusetts. This old girl gets around! <:

Everything you need; nothing you don't. Use your A700 as your nightstand. Put the shower in the entryway to either spook or score the FedEx guy.

Think of it as Lustron, only more...focused.

Well, I mean, the black squares are technically placeholders for appliances. You could, for example, have your Frigidaire refrigerator (hopefully that harvest-gold one from the early 50s!), and your Custom Imperial range right there as well.

Or, maybe your Radarange on the A700 nightstand by your bed.

It's flexible like that.
